A great turn-out and perfect weather for golf showed up on Sunday afternoon! We had 16 players using 5 irons, 6 irons, 8 irons, drivers, I even saw with my own eyes a highly respected member use a putter to drive with!!! In the end, we had four people tied at 31. In sudden death play-off, Chris Blum managed a par on the first hole and won the tournament with a large gallery looking on from the club house deck. It was a great day!
I'll admit, I wasn't even aware that I was doing that well because the group I was with was having too much fun. Laughter and good natured banter filled the air. When we did get serious, it was only to contemplate which club to use on our next shot :). By the way, a putter does not make for a good driver. I'm thinking of getting rid of all my clubs except my seven iron, it seemd to work well Sunday...
